Q. How will I describe which sun protection factor is right for my skin type?
It is easy because whatever skin colour and type you have, you should choose the minimum SPF of 15 if possible higher even if you have sensitive skin there also special hypoallergic types of sunscreen. For brown or olive skinned people have a lower risk of sunburn than light skinned people over any period , but they should take care especially under a mid-day tropical sun because the sun has no respect of a person. The tracking of every single moment in the sun begins the same for everyone so they still need to use some sunscreen with SPF of minimum 15. (See SKIN HEALTH SUNBLOCK SPF - 15 4 oz). For fair light skinned people who rarely tan and always burn they should always use high SPF of between 20 to 30. (See emerginC SUN 20 125 ml). Donīt forget to select a waterproof product if you plan to be in the water and also remember a higher SPF does not give you high protection, but it gives you longer protection from the effects of the sun. ( Very Emollient Sun Block All-Day Waterproof (SPF 30) )
Q. How long does it takes to get sun burn?
For sensitive skin can start to burn immediately, but the skin wonīt begin to redden and show this burning soon needs two or three hours. This means if you stay in the sun until you are pink before applying some protection you are already sun burnt. Apply a sunscreen before going out on the sun or soon when you arrive near the sea shore. ( SunBrella Sunless Tan (SPF 16) 4 oz with UVA & UVB Protection )
Q. Apart from using a sunscreen , are there any precautions which are necessary ?
Avoid excessive exposure to the sun, remember that particularly at the beach the sunīs ultraviolet rays can be reflected even in shade, wear a hat, shirt and sun glasses, seek shade where possible. On this case sunscreen protection is necessary even there too.
Q. Are they any parts of the body which are more sensitive to the sun than the other?Absolutely, the face and more specifically eye contour, the nose and certain parts of the body which are more easily exposed such as sensitive areas like scars, neck, shoulders and knee.
